The inverted house. Inspired by a Canadian sculptural artist who specializes in inverting expectations. The artist takes common, easily identified, objects ands challenges the viewers expectations. The Central walkway through the retreat creates the silhouette of a cartoon house with the surrounding “negative space” forming the interior of the retreat. The outside becomes the interior space while the shape of the home is actually outside.
