Tasked with designing a self portrait and given the freedom to chose his medium, Max designed a beautiful sculpture as a representation of himself. The piece depicts a surrealist scene of a wooden figure traversing a rocky landscape with trees blowing in the wind as he himself also struggles to push through the harsh gusts. The rocky landscape is itself a representation of Max, and how he feels at times, to be cold and expressionless; as the figure struggles to push forward, the same can be said for Max.
